General Criteria

individuals willing to assume the risks — and eager to reap the
rewards — of owning their own business. You must be ready to put
in long hours, manage people and monitor finances, be a creative salesperson
and help foster an environment that entices your customers. You must be
prepared to make a significant financial commitment to a business undertaking,
and be capable of honoring that commitment.

How can you spot a desirable spot for your new ampm
franchise?
Here's how we do it:
- Signalized
corner lots (200' X 200') or larger, average is 45,000 square feet,
able to accommodate a 3,600-square-foot store with 8-10 dispensers and
the space to add an optional car wash
- Mall center;
entrance/gateway
- Freeway ramps
on/off with freeway visibility
- Driveway
(cuts) access on both streets
- High traffic
count
- Good population
density or retail-activity generators
- Clear visibility
- Growth area
- Beer &
wine off-sale license
- 24-hour operation
Here are some, but not all, additional requirements that
you must meet. These requirements are subject to change without notice
at ARCO's sole discretion:
- U.S. citizenship,
or permanent resident alien status
- Minimum age
of 21 years old
- Personal
participation in operating a retail facility (minimum of 40 hours per
week)
- Successful
completion of training by BP West Coast Products LLC
- Good credit
record/credit history and evidencing of prompt payment of all financial
obligations
- Total investment:
$2,000,000-$3,500,000. $400,000-$600,000 liquid capital required. Financial

ampm franchisees are ambitious, entrepreneurial people willing
to assume the risks and reap the rewards of owning their own business.
Franchises are currently available in five Western states including: California,
Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. To become an ampm franchisee,
you must have a minimum of $400,000 - $600,000 in liquid investment capital
available for a business undertaking. Financial assistance may be available
to help get your ampm store up and running. If you believe you've
